When last weeks Switzerland Server meltdown occurred, the KLST crew was like bunch of busy bees without any flowers. This was my second outage I had to deal with since I took the reigns of the station as content manager. This one was way worst than the first. Absolutely nothing we could do about this one and we had big features to broadcast! So, since we didn’t have a station, it was time to focus on our Mixcloud page.
Little did I know that several days later, several of our DJ’s feature on the Mixcloud would be charting in multiple genre’s helping generate more site traffic and a hell of a lot of confidence boost to our DJs.
“Slick as fuck EP. Meshed grooves with the sounds of Detroit and Chicago, (an obvious impression both scenes had on a generation of kid’s like Fate, who came up in Indiana’s hay-day) this EP is funky, jackin’ smooth, with just enough chill!”-Spike Heart
DJ and KLST Talent and Content Manager
Leading up to the outage, I had been very hyped up in a special Graveyard Radio broadcast I was working on. DJ Fate had an EP being released November 22nd and had made a mini-mix of it to help KLST promote the release. When I released the station and the website would not be coming back in time, I reached out to Fate and asked if we could out the mix up on our Mixcloud page KLST had just recently established. Fate thought it was a great idea. Within 48 hours, the mix had charted in tech-house and techno.
As of right now the mix stands at 65th in tech-house and 70th in techno!

BEATS and Beers!
It’s no surprise that this bass mix done by DJ 27 is charting in 4 genre’s on Mixcloud and each day continues to get enough unique plays causing it to continually creep up in the ranks daily. It’s not jut a metaphor either. This mix will creep on you! It’s is one of the most original and different bass mixes I have heard. At a little more than 50 minutes in length it’s over before you know it. It catches you all guard with a little darkness and smooth grooves through out.
Last but not least, DUPPY is one of KLST’s newest DJ’s confirmed for rotation. Less than 24 hours after uploaded, DUPPY’s Global Bass Mix has charted at 72nd in dubstep top 100. This mix hits so hard on so many levels! It lays in on think and heavy! It has plenty of dance floor stoppers and she holds true you her style by throwing in some tracks catchy R & B hooks from days past. It’s a heater of a mix and we are glad to have it featured on our Mixcloud.
Duppy has a show tomorrow night at Misfits Tavern in New York. Check here to RSVP and get more info.
